El Satanico vs El Dandy (“Hair vs Hair” – EMLL – 12/14/1990) The peak of El Dandy and El Satanico’s 1990. They each had one of the best single years ever in wrestling and then cap the year off having their best match against each other. This is an awesome bloody brawl. Blood, punches, fantastic selling from two of the best ever at their best.

The 80s and early 90s brawl is probably my favorite style/era of wrestling. The Lucha brawl might be my favorite within that distinction. This might be my second or third favorite lucha brawl (or even lucha match) ever, so it will likely finish pretty highly for me. No one better is better at getting their ass whooped and firing back with a bloody comeback than El Dandy was in 1990. This is a wonderful brawl that has all the drama you want. Satanico is an all time performer for me and this is peak work from him. Playing off peak Dandy, this match is must see wrestling, prime stuff.

Thirded.
A number 1 contender for me. In my opinion, this is the greatest lucha match and brawl ever. Builds beautifully off their previous match in October and is pure, unbridled, bloody violence. And while the finish seems cheap, it's really a tremendous callback to the first.

Awesome match with dramatic flourishes and great brawling. Both wrestlers were feeling it and their hatred pulled me in. I was thinking this was a top 20 contender till the ending. Then I read the comments here and watched the October match. People need to see that one if the ending bothers them, plus it’s a great match in its own right.

A pretty perfect match. Not a huge fan of the fake low blow spot but it told a story going back to their October match. Great heat, great brawling interspersed with technical spots and a great portrayal of hatred.
