Full match title is too long to post as a subject. Fuck it. Angel Blanco Jr./El Hijo del Solitario v. El Hijo Del Santo/Villano IV TXT 2/25/2012 is what I'm talking about.
tl;dr one of the greatest savage bloodbaths ever with all 4 guys bleeding, rudos stomping a mudhole into the technicos, awesome punches and headbutts, Villano IV looking awesome etc. Most noticeable is how these guys could've easily coasted on their name value at this point and just do a standard match but instead we got an intelligent balls out fight from the beginning with the rudos avoiding the obvious quick finish and immediately putting a major ass stomping on the faces. Santo's stuff is timeless but Solitario jr. is a great slimy rudo foil for him. Also Villano IV's best showing ever.

I'm not at all sure I'll even end up doing a ballot, but I registered solely so this match and one other would get put through to the votable section. That's how strongly I feel about this one. I ended up with this as my overall match of the year in 2012 and that was the year of Lesnar v. Cena I which at the time it occurred I thought might have been the best WWE match of all time. Any way, when I think of lucha brawls this is the first one that comes to mind. Just an absolutely reckless, out of control, unhinged affair. There are strike flurries in this that legit incredible, and the feeling of desperation is palpable throughout. I love the idea of Santo's flashiness biting him in the ass in this setting too. Just a total bloodbath, and Jetlag is right that the V4 performance is an all timer. One of my favorite brawls of all time.

Thirding this. The best match of 2012 & the best lucha brawl of the decade. A total bloodbath that everyone should watch.

Ok, so I just watched this and wow. This is a really awesome brawl. I echo a lot of what people said about it. I think its great and could be a contender on my list as of this moment. What really strikes me is that it is kind of a contender for best post-match. When the bell rang I felt like this was really good but I wasn't ready to give it real consideration in this project, but then the post match came and I was sold. Along with like Sawyer/Duggan and Funk/Flair this is up there with the post matches that add the most to the "match" for me.
Vilano IV's spin kick in the middle of throwing hands with Angel Blanco Jr in the post match was fucking brilliant. It made my whole day.
Great stuff over all. Much obliged to those who brought this to my attention.

Terrific brawling and tons of blood. I don't think it had even one dull moment. Really dug the story of aging vets trying to survive the onslaught of the younger guys and fight fire with fire.

I was looking back over the results of the last vote and this match jumped out as being way underrated. I think this is a masterpiece, one of the best ever lucha brawls. Great story of the outmatched legends fighting for their lives. Lots of violence, heat and blood and a glorious finish. Wild post match brawl as well for added joy. MOTDC and a lock for my list.

What a great match and showing from all four guys. V4 is especially worthy of praise, great vocal selling, punches, and passion. Thanks for bumping this, I loved the twists and turns throughout.

Finally got around to watching this after a friend had recommended it to me months ago. This is absolutely incredible, all four men had great performances in this match, Santo was obviously great and I was super impressed by Blanco & Solitario as this was the first time I have ever seen one of their matches, but Villano IV put on probably the performance of his life in this match. An incredible brawl with a SUPER hot crowd and lots of blood spilled between all four men. Really enjoyed this one a lot.

I was wrong about Guerrero Maya Jr vs Virus 2011, THIS match is the lucha MOTD behind Black Terry/Wotan
