Genichiro Tenryu vs KENTA (Pro Wrestling NOAH, 10/8/2005)
I think this match is incredibly overlooked. Holy crap is this a phenomenal sprint. Even at 55, Tenryu looks like one of the best wrestlers in the world. He gives KENTA one of the worst beatings I've ever seen for about five minute straights before KENTA begins to mount the mother of all comebacks. Just an unbelievable amount of violence and aggression. Arguably one of the greatest sprints of all-time.

The opening was really cool with KENTA charging at Tenryu only to get completely flattened by a punch. From the start of this match until roughly 9 minutes in KENTA's total offense is three slaps and two kicks. Tenryu seems to resort to cheating he doesn't need, punches, charshots, hitting him with the bell hammer. KENTA keeps to the rules to his own detriment, there's a great exchange of KENTA hitting slaps while Tenryu throws fists and of course KENTA goes down. cool match won't be voting for it. seconded.

Third. Typically awesome and violent Tenryu beatdown which KENTA sells pretty well, though I thought his comeback was a bit sudden. Loved the post match water bottle toss.

Genichiro Tenryu vs KENTA - NOAH 10/8/05
This is legalized murder. KENTA bumrushes at the outset of the match and just runs into a closed fist. Tenryu lays one of the most hellacious beatings you will ever seen. Fists, chops, lariats, punts to the head, chairs and even casually dropping the timekeeper table on KENTA. Ever the gentleman, he returns the table to the timekeeper only to take his hammer and hit KENTA with that. Those chops were insane. He was hitting through KENTA. KENTA gives a great "selling" performance, but I dont know how much he is selling or is just plain shoot hurt. Loved Tenryu's cutoff. That one flurry stopped by a well-placed right was great. There could have been a better transition to KENTA's big offensive comeback. His offense looked great I loved him relying on springboard dropkicks. Great kicks and hits his big Exploding knee, but when Tenryu kicks out you know it is just a matter of time. Big right jabs and then Tenryu just trucks him with a left lariat. Great veteran heavyweight vs young junior heavyweight match that was stiff and just an asskicker. ****
