Mayumi Ozaki, Cutie Suzuki, Candy Okutsu & Sumiyo Toyama vs Dynamite Kansai, Devil Masami, Hikari Fukuoka & Hiromi Yagi (4x4 1-Count Match - JWP - 03/21/95) One of my all time favorite matches and an absolute lock to make my list. So basically this is like Thunderqueen in that everyone is matched up one on one and then it turns into a tag match after everyone has had a turn. Only you need one count for a pinfall. So it is batshit insane. This is one of the most dramatic, heart stopping matches ever. I feel exhausted every time I see it. Literally everything is of consequence. Every near fall or pin attempt can bring victory with just one count. This is soo much fun and will absolutely make my list.

A fantastic match that I'll definitely consider. Not flawless (they go overboard with some of the nearfalls) but it absolutely rules in terms of drama, character work, compelling plot points and action. There is also a two count match from 1/9/1994 . Don't think it has surfaced online but that should also be an interesting watch.

Third.
Might be the most ambitious and urgent match ever. It's not perfect as the action can be a bit sloppy in places and the number of escapes on 1-counts gets a bit excessive, but this is still one of the craziest matches I've ever seen. The teamwork and storytelling is next-level and everything feels like it has purpose. This kind of match would have fallen flat on its face in less capable hands but all eight competitors put together something really special here.

I don’t know how they pulled this off but I was on board for all 40 minutes. The stipulation affected the way I perceived the action and added meaning to what was happening. And the action itself was high- end riveting. Add that to the uniqueness and degree of difficulty and you have a top 100 match in my eyes.

Loved this. So many great individual performances and quirks of logic within a really unique match. The one count rule means everyone is vulnerable. Highlights were Sumio Toyama getting wrecked, Giant Swings and Rolling Cradles becoming death moves. Cuty Suzuki on a tear. A really unique match everyone should see at least once.
BTW, Along with the 1 count rule there are some other notable rule changes: Each pairing has a 5 minute tile limit. If you are in a submission for 30 seconds you lose. If the elimination match is a draw then it moves to 4v4 sudden death overtime.
