I never had any Satanico on the list I was going to send in, which feels patently absurd on the surface, but it's been forever million years since I watched the Dandy matches, haven't seen the Pirata Morgan match from AAA or the Chicana match from '89, and things like the Cochisse title match and a couple trios he was amazing in were borderline.
Buddy Rose wasn't there either, though I think if I watch the Rose/Somers v Midnight Rockers series for next year I'll vote for at least one of them.
Those two are top 20 all-time level wrestlers for me and the other eighteen would've all been represented. So yeah, Satanico then Buddy Rose.

For the best to not make the top 100, Casas and A.J. I go back-and-forth on the '97 Santo match all the time and A.J. has a few in the top 150.
For the best to not make the top 50, Hashimoto and Rey. I really wanted the '98 Tenryu match to make the cut but only the '96 Choshu match did. The Eddie Halloween Havoc match is in the top 150 but only the 2/3 falls match with Juventud made it for Rey.

Am I the only one seeing the 96' G1 Choshu match as top 10-5 contender?

What's your top Hash match? Forgot I did rank Hash & Iizuka vs Ogawa & Murakami Hashimoto vs Tenryu in the G1 Climax, which I only watched very recently so didn't make it onto my ballot. Would have had a strong chance making the list otherwise. Chono is probably the next big name missing from my list, even after watching all of his touted stuff, which are great but nothing that would make my ballot.

Am I the only one seeing the 96' G1 Choshu match as top 10-5 contender? I don't think its crazy, but it falls comfortably outside my list. It would be in strong consideration for top 150 or 200 though.
That said, its an awesome match and I wouldn't bat an eye at someone else thinking that highly of it.

I'm a big fan of the Hash/Ogawa 10/99 and 4/00 singles matches. I get some people have a hard looking past the booking, but those are some top tier Hashimoto performances and Ogawa also does his part pretty well as the unstoppable shoot-fighter. I also feel people are sleeping on the 94 Fujiwara, 98 Fujinami and 04 Kawada matches. Those are all epic heavyweight title matches with their own unique feel.

In between 10/11/1999, 1/4/2000 and 4/7/2000, Hashimoto vs. Ogawa is one of the best mini feuds of all time. Their 97 stuff isn't bad either.
Black Terry is probably my pick for the topic.

Agree with fxnj and Micro about the Hashimoto vs Ogawa matches. I totally get it re: the booking. But I just so don't care at all because I adore the matches so much.
I don't think I've ever seen that 98 Fujinami match. I can't remember it.
On Choshu vs Hashimoto, I love the idea of having that as a top 5-10 match. I don't see it that way, but I totally get it, it is an awesome match. It didn't make my final 100, but it is probably a top 5-10 NJPW post 1988.
