Buddy Rose vs Jay Youngblood (2/3 Falls - PNW - 1/3/1981) Fucking awesome match. Jay Youngblood is someone who probably deserves a closer look at some point. He’s excellent here. But Buddy is just a freaking master. A lot of his greatness is in the week to week variety and can’t really be boiled down into specific matches like you can with other big show wrestlers. But this is a great one to watch to “get” Buddy Rose. This might have the best dueling armwork in history. They are both just vicious with it. Buddy shows just amazing variety of things he can do working/controlling the arm. From holds to stuff off the ropes, his bag of tricks is as big as anyone in history. Genius old school finish. Great match. Well worthy of consideration.

2nd, co-sign everything said above, the way they worked here has stuck with me. Buddy was brilliant in getting the story of the match over, a real feather in his cap.
