What are the current plans for 2022?
If we do decide to skip the year, then I propose we do a project with a certain focus. A pre-80s project would be interesting. We might have to cut our ballots down to a top 50, but it will be a good way to get eyes on stuff like World Of Sport, French Catch, and stuff of that nature. I'd also be down with doing a women-only GME project. It will give me an excuse to really dive deep in joshi.
Thoughts?
If you still need another mod, I wouldn't mind helping out.

A pre-80s project would be a great idea, that's a period of time I have basically 0 knowledge of.

I haven't done a list since 2015, I'm so excited to be doing on now  Also, going to share it on a podcast, so if the future plans can be finalized I can share that there as well. |

I floated the idea of 2022 being a year where we do a "favorites" list and instead of compiling them we just have a thread for everyone to post them. That might be a little less work intensive for both those submitting and for those putting it all together since if we do something in 2022 it will be like adding an extra project into our normal timeline.

I know I have not been as active on here, just been a busy year in my personal life and my interest in wrestling was on the wane until August when all of sudden I was binging wrestling again. I hope to be more active for this upcoming cycle. Anyways, I would like to float the idea of continuing the cycle the Big 4 PPVs and thus make the next vote be Royal Rumble 2023. What do people think of that? I essentially make a ton of mini-lists and then compile my mini-lists into a Final List so I would be down for a smaller project. |

We're officially halfway through the year. Any thoughts on when to pick this back up? If we stick to the traditional schedule (one year plus next WWE big 4 PPV premium live event), that would make the 2023 Rumble the deadline. I think that might be too soon for some people, though. Alternately, I do like the idea of tabulating various mini-lists centered around a particular style and/or time period. Any other ideas?

I believe it was NL who proposed this in a dm chat (sorry if I am missing the mark on that). I like the idea of maybe moving this to an every other year project. I think there are a couple of benefits.
1. It gives the lists time to breath for those of us who vote each time. Personally, I think every year or so was great at first, but the longer the project goes the less movement there is in my list. Of course new people join at different points and might look forward to the "next" ballot, but I every two years isn't a crazy long time to wait to jump on if folks are interested.
2. We wont be competing with GWE for energy/attention. They come up in 2026. If we do 2023, 2025, 2027 that might actually make the projects compliment one another nicely.
3. We could then do the ballot on the same ppv/time every year instead of changing it (I like the idea of a summer list best). It doesn't have to be around a WWE ppv either. We could do the 4th of july or or Terry Funk's birthday or anything really.
Thoughts?
