I knew I loved this match the second I saw Matt Menard covered in blood during the opening minutes of the match, from there it was only up. I have rewatched this match more times than I'm willing to admit. This is easily my MOTY and I also think it is easily AEW's best match in company history.

This is the fourth time I have watched this match since it came out, and now I'm ready to say that it has become one of my favourites. Ever. It is just so much fun. Wild Thing going on and on and on, and the crowd popping for its loop, was hilarious. Jericho cutting the music and gaining major heat was also great. To me, the MVP of the match was the production team, because it isn't an easy task by any means to keep track of all these guys working through all the fucking stadium at the same time, making it an easy experience to digest for the viewers. They did it perfectly. Yeah, Santana and Ortiz and the less important Jericho's minions just showed up for two big spots and that was it, but some sacrifices needed to be made, and honestly I didn't wanted to loose track of whatever Moxley, Jericho and Kingston were doing. Then Mox destroyed the ring, Kingston had the absolute best and most insane moment of the whole match (which is saying something), Jake Hager showed an almost Taue-esque aura of "brutal anchor" being key in JAS winning, and of course Bryan Danielson had to steal the show at the end with an underdog performance that only he could do. It's not the most polished or even best looking of the matches, there's always some shots or moves that may look dumb or weak or whatever, but fuck it, the whole is much stronger than the sum of its parts here.
Another match that can't be anything less than a contender for my top 100. Won't be there, but deserves serious consideration. It might be the best brawl of the last five or so years. ****1/4

This is like the Tupelo Concession Stand Brawl meets War Games. An absolute trendsetter for a new style of match that is pretty simple, a multi-man no disqualification. Everyone had a chance to shine here and it was some of the best controlled chaos in the history of wrestling. It had several acts as well and the use of Wild Thing helped that. Too much to totally recap but I expect it to finish strong on this year’s overall list. In my Top 10 for now.

I don't usually watch 5v5 or 4v4 matches, but I have have seen so much praise for this match on this site. Someone even put this at number 1 on their top 100 2023 GME list.
I've not seen a match like this before. It was like 5 FMW matches all happening simultaneously.
So, first of all the Santana blockbuster onto the tables was very well executed by Santana. That is the most picture-esque blockbuster we will ever see. Also, I noticed that Bryan Danielson was throwing some very stiff punches at his opponents head. Stiff striking from all, and Kingston was brilliant, allowing his head to be thrown into a freaking wall.
In some respects, I can see why some say that this is AEW's best match ever, as it provides so much bang for your buck in terms of crazy spots. Could possibly be a top-100 match for me, and I give this match 2 thumbs up. A refreshing new style of match for me as a viewer.

When done right, wrestling doesn’t get much better in my opinion. I’m glad this could be a match that you could appreciate if you don’t like this type. I always say if somebody likes a match they’re not predisposed to liking then it’s a sign it’s probably great. I noticed you like spotty ladder matches, if you could recommend only one what would it be ?

The wrestlemania 2000 Triangle ladder match or the 2013 MITB main event. the wm 2000 ladder match got lost in the crowded ladder match scene and doesn't get many views these days.

This and Okada Vs Shibata are the two matches I'm most interested in seeing where they land. There seems to be an influx of.people.voting since last time and most of the lists I saw had these two matches in high positions.

Yeah, based on the individual ballots posted thus far, sky is the limit for this one.

I voted this at #98 in my 2023 ballot.
Not much to add to all the reviews above. We all watched this, we all loved it. Basically a Tupelo concession stand brawl turned up to 11. More wrestling should be wild, bloody brawls set to Wild Thing.
Only criticism I have is that I find the final act (in the ring) a step down from the rest of the match. But even that has great character moments and a fiery Danielson performance. And all the chaos up to that point is pure, giddy wrestling joy.
