This was one of the best sub-15 minute matches that I've ever seen.
Danielson and Rush's intensity was off the charts. And for how uncoordinated Rush can be at some times depending on who he's facing and the style of the match, he had amazing chemistry and cohesiveness with Bryan and he came off looking like a superstar. Massive props to him for a star-making performance. And Bryan continues to show why he's one of the greatest; even with just about everyone knowing that he would win, he manages to keep you on the edge of your seat by being such a fantastic underdog. His fiery sprints of offense, his hard-hitting striking sequences with Rush, and just the way he sold the onslaught of offense that was thrown at him was just awesome to see.
This'll certainly be in some people's MOTY lists for this year, but I wouldn't be surprised if this peaks the interest of some people on here and manages to make it into their GME lists. I'm heavily considering it as well, as this was such a fantastic watch from start to finish. There's ZERO fat or excess to be found in this bout.

Great match. I’ll second it. Though it’s Definitely not something I’m gonna put on the list but it’s a blast. Fired-up Danielson spraying blood all over the place is always great in my book. I think of all the opponents Danielson had in this series Rush really gelled the best with him.
I did prefer MJF/Takeshita in the opener and am so pumped for the Iron Man match.

I think this merits a third, though like Darren I don't expect it'll make my own list. The match is a great Rush showpiece who looks amazing working from on top and of course Danielson holds up his end too, selling the beating as devastating and picking his moments to fire back.
The main negative for me was the championship angle with MJF somewhat overshadowing the match, as it dominated the commentary and also made the result a formality. Maybe this one will look even better in hindsight when we're removed from the context.
This definitely made me eager to see a rematch (or ideally a full Dragon vs Rush program) somewhere down the line.

Yeah... I think it is worth consideration. This is a timeless sort of match I suspect that will age like a fine wine. No real shot at my list as of right now, but something to think about.

They did 5 standing & trading strike exchanges in a 15 minute match

Definitely think this one deserves consideration, a serious contender for the best TV match of 2023 so far. I don't think it'll make my list either, but I'd have to watch it again before ruling it out.

Incredible match, just behind Omega vs. Ospreay on my MOTY list, great performance from Rush and brutal bladejob and selling from Dragon. I doubt this is going to make my list, but it deserves some consideration.
I'm sure if Danielson was a Mexican wrestler called El Hijo del Dragón and they were wrestling in Todo Élite Lucha Libre, and people didn't understand the announcers commentaries and the referees' decisions, it would be considered a better match in some circles.

*looks around at everyone praising the match* K. This joke was lame 25 years ago when people were saying "If Steve Austin was named Stevzaki Austinbashsawa you elitists would like it!"

1. That’s why I said “in some circles” and not in this board. This forum is awesome.
2. It’s not a joke, it’s an obvious pattern.

If I'm being honest, I probably would've liked it more if the match did happen in Mexico, or at least a Mexican promotion, because they would've done most of the stuff I really liked and less of the stuff I didn't (the "let's stand and hit each other" strike exchanges).

Well it looks like even with strike exchanges, this match is a nominee
