A match that was 90% perfect but leaned a bit too much into the theatrics by the end. Deserves a nomination for sure though, the best WWE match since probably Bryan Vs Kofi

That was one of the top 5 best matches I had ever seen until the last 10 minutes. You’ll never see something like that again.

I def understand where you’re coming from, but I can’t hold the theatrics against them, they had to do what they had to do under the circumstances. If you think about the wwe failures over the past however many years I view it as a home run for sure.

This was basically the match I had predicted a few weeks ago but going through the emotions of caring about the outcome of a match that much is a lot. I might need more time away from it b

Truly elite in spots, but it included some reminders about why I haven't connected with WWE in so long. Great stuff all the same. I totally get why this might make someone's list.

To be honest, the theatrics were much better than the actual match. A home run as far as booking goes, but not something I have any desire to revisit from an in-ring standpoint.

I’m so emotionally deflated from this experience. Sami Zayn is a treasure.

I’m so emotionally deflated from this experience. Sami Zayn is a treasure. I was hoping Vince came out and screwed Sami with the Montreal Finish, grabbed a mic and said something like "I'm back, Canada HAHAHAHAHA"

This was a really good effort even if the finish wasn't exactly groundbreaking. It was a little too slow to get going (I dislike how they try and emulate the Rock/Hogan crowd acknowledgment opening in these types of matches) but Roman's acting was solid. It built well to the nearfall section, which itself was probably the best part. I'm glad they didn't have Jey turn on Zayn, that would have been quite predictable and anti-climactic story-wise.

I think the crowd acknowledgment works when you have a special crowd. This wasn't just a typical WWE main event crowd.
I also think the slow build was the best part. Once they started trading finishers & nearfalls is when it fell off for me. Roman dominating, shit talking & smirking was awesome. Once they did the Roman Superman punch, Sami bounces off the ropes for his own superman is when I was getting annoyed. The build is something that works forever. It could've been on a WWF card in 1995 or 1980 or 2010.

Roman's mid-match Bond villain monologues are cringe as hell, actually.

I like the idea of somebody talking during a match. What Roman does is actually bad though.
