One of my favorite things is to be out dancing at the club in my Austin 3:16 shirt and a person come out to me and ask me what it means. Actually, I am gonna tell a little club story. Happened two weeks ago. I am in my Dolph ZIggler "Stealin The Show" shirt and hot pink & black zubaz! I am killing it. I have been dancing with this girl often and on for two hours. It was really looking good going into the home stretch. Lights come on. You know the drill. You gotta get the phone number at least. This dude walks up to me. I remembered from earlier in the night. Weird dude. He held his fist out to fist bump. I did. The fist was still out there. So I did it again. Still out there? I did a light fist tap. Nope? I held it. Then I realized he must be a wrestling fan and was doing the Shield thing. Now he is talking to me. He clearly sees that I am trying to talk to this girl. Everyone in society knows what I am trying to do. He gonna on about how he is some wrestling manager. I am trying to tell him thats great, but I am trying to talk to this girl. Then he is telling me that he is friends with Pete Rosenberg and he tweeted him a video of me dancing and that it got retweeted I yell at him, I am not a fucking mark, brutha, I am talking to her. Then out of the blue he tells me he's a Vince Russo guy. I am like this is just absurd. So you not only are you annoying, but you have shitty opinions. I ignored him and he finally went away. She actually asked me "Is that one of your fans?" "I was like you can say that." "Whats his name?" "Mark." One of those I popped myself moments. Good news, got the girl's number and we have a date next week. Man, I will never forget that. What a weird dude. Who says they are Vince Russo guy unprompted? What the flying fuck? Ol Stone Cold takes five out of the top six matches in this countdown! If you think Stone Cold Steve Austin is pretty good at this wrestling gimmick, gimme a Hell Yeah. HELL YEAH! But does he take the top spot? I guess you gotta just click and see. That's the bottom line because Marty Sleeze said so! ridingspacemountain.blogspot.com/2018/10/pro-wrestling-love-vol-14-best-wwf.html

"When you are a follower, the view never changes" - Dusty Rhodes There was nobody like The American Dream, if you will BABY! I absolutely love this era and it may be my favorite era of pro wrestling period. I have watched hundreds of matches from this era and have written reviews for over a hundred. I had NINETEEN honorable mentions and even that was excoriating for me as I was leaving off favorites. It is just amazing Southern-fried wrestling and wrestling I love to promote. Cactus Jack & Jushin Liger innovate two completely different styles that are commonplace now! WARGAMES! "He's just a man! He's just a man!", Ricky Steamboat returns! Of course, in on of the most emotionally moving moments in pro wrestling history, Ric Flair wrestles for the World Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina against the Mastodon, Vader! WOOOOOOOOOO! This volume puts the LOVE in Pro Wrestling Love! WCW 1991-1994 ridingspacemountain.blogspot.com/2018/10/pro-wrestling-love-vol-16-best-of-wcw.html

I have and I thought it was pretty great, I had it around ****1/4 if I remember I really thought October 89 and 90 matches were incredible! Pro Wrestling Love returns with first half of a Top 12 countdown of the best matches of WWE from 2002-2004. Thank you to my Dad for supporting my pro wrestling fandom from taking me to pro wrestling matches starting in 1998 and always discussing pro wrestling with me even though he is not a fan. This is especially pertinent because one of the matches (Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio) that makes this list I was in attendance for thanks to my Dad taking me. How lucky am I to say I have seen Eddie vs Rey live in my lifetime! Thank you Dad! It is very eclectic bunch that make the first half of this Top 12 WWE matches to take place from 2002-2004! How awesome is Rey Mysterio? The Kliq revival is in full swing as Shawn Michaels makes his return! The Next Big Thing makes his debut BROCK ROCKS~! in this volume of Pro Wrestling Love! ridingspacemountain.blogspot.com/2018/11/pro-wrestling-love-vol-19-best-of-wwe.htm

Pro Wrestling Love is back! Yes, Pro Wrestling Love makes its triumphant return right before Christmas to give you plenty to enjoy on Christmas Day. This volume is basically a tribute to the creative genius that is Brock Lesnar as three of his matches make it. In addition, we have the classic Eddie Guerrero vs JBL bloodbath and in my opinion the ultimate feel good moment in WWE history as Eddie Guerrero wrestles Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship. All this and much, much more in Pro Wrestling Love vol. 20! ridingspacemountain.blogspot.com/2018/12/pro-wrestling-love-vol-20-best-of-wwe.html

Merry Christmas, bruthas! I am really excited about this volume of Pro Wrestling Love because it covers the first half of the Hulkamania Era 1984-1987. The year 1984 is basically 1AD in pro wrestling history. The WWF was an all star promotion at this time with so many great wrestlers making pit stops in New York City. That it is a treasure trove of great wrestling that is criminally underrated. There are the stud workhorses we know and love with Tito Santana, Greg Valentine, Ricky Steamboat and Randy Savage but there are others contributing like Harley Race, Brutus Beefcake and Jake Roberts. Hell the WWF was such a big tent promotion at the time you even got crazy awesome things like Glamour Girls vs Jumping Bomb Angels. There are plenty of honorable mentions to sift through and I implore you to check them all out. ridingspacemountain.blogspot.com/2018/12/pro-wrestling-love-vol-21-best-of-wwf.html?m=1

Happy Boxing Day! There is no complaining when you are talking Pro Wrestling Love especially when you are discussing the treasure trove that is the WWF between 1984-1987. The top of the list is pretty boring, full of usual suspects. I mean Savage vs Steamboat basically ushered in the modern era of workrate and Slaughter vs Sheik is one of the greatest brawls of all time so there's a reason there are boring choices. However, that back half has some really interesting choices: Bob Backlund & Bruno Sammartino making the Top Six in 1984 & 1986 that's pretty wild. I bet I got your attention so click the link and find what the hell those ol' fuddy duddies did to get a place on the most prestigious list of them all, Pro Wrestling Love's Top Six Best Matches of WWF from 1984-1987! All this and much, much more! ridingspacemountain.blogspot.com/2018/12/pro-wrestling-love-vol-22-best-of-wwf.html

On the Third Day of Christmas, your true love gave to you, Pro Wrestling Love: The Memphis Edition because who the fuck wants Three French Hens! When I was a kid I rented a 1980s Memphis VHS from Video Horizon because "Macho Man" Randy Savage was on the cover. On that video, Savage piledrove Ricky Morton of the Rock 'n' Roll Express through a table and I remember thinking that was the most batshit insane thing I ever saw. Memphis Wrestling was hardcore blood & guts wrestling before ECW made you believe they invented the style in the 90s. Memphis Wrestling is a perfect microcosm of pro wrestling with its outrageous colorful gimmicks and it is reliance on bloody brawls. Inside you will find out about Randy Savage & Poffos' invasion of Jerry Lawler's Memphis Wrestling, Lawler challenging for the World Championship against Curt Hennig & Rick Martel, hell even the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair makes a pit stop in Memphis to defend his version of the World Heavyweight Championship. All this and much, much more in Pro Wrestling Love vol. 23! ridingspacemountain.blogspot.com/2018/12/pro-wrestling-love-vol-23-best-of.html

Lawler takes five out of the top six spots. Click to find out who is able to stop Lawler from running the table (hint: they are FABULOUS!). Lawler vs Dundee is obvious, but do they finish number one? Which Lawler match has what I consider the best heel finish in Memphis history? Which match do I declare is Lawler's true masterpiece? All this and much, much more in Pro Wrestling Love vol. 24. ridingspacemountain.blogspot.com/2018/12/pro-wrestling-love-vol-24-best-of.html

The climatic conclusion to the Best of World Class Countdown! Missy Hyatt read my blog & Kevin Von Erich thanked me for my kind words. Wow! Mark Out City Baby! I live a crazy cool life. For me, these are basically love letters to Kevin Von Erich because I think he is one of the most unique pro wrestlers I have ever seen. No one wrestles like Kevin Von Erich. He is always struggling against his opponent. He is always throwing himself into every move with reckless abandon. He is perpetual motion. He personifies "Think shoot, but work". He told me today in a message that his Dad told him "Always fight back" and that he never forget. Talk about taking your Dad's advice to heart! His two Championship matches against Harley Race & Ric Flair that make this countdown are two of the best of either man's career (in my opinion it is the best Harley Race match ever) because Kevin is Mr. Pugnacious and he is always fighting back making his opponent earn their offense. The edition features the Von Erichs against the Dynamic Duo and the Freebirds. Also there is ONE match of the 12 that does not have a Von Erich in it (ok Kerry is the ref), who spoiled the clean sweep? In addition, there is a bonus match from Joe Blanchard's San Antonio-based promotion Southwest Championship Wrestling that I included. Check it out! Aaaaaaaahhhhhhh I am still marking out! ridingspacemountain.blogspot.com/2018/12/pro-wrestling-love-vol-26-best-of-world.html?m=1

Happy New Year! I wake up every morning and I think how can improve this already awesome package. I rattle off the accolades & superlatives. I go to the dictionary and thumb through to find adjectives. I am thirsty for those adjectives and thats when it hit me. Hydrated! Thats the adjective I want for 2019. I want to be well-hydrated. So my resolution to all you my friends is that I am going to drink more water and be well-hydrated. Of course, we keep the resolutions of previous years: walk at least 30 minutes a day, sit up and stand up straight and no more nail biting. Just as conquered these, I will be drinking more fluids and pissing like a prized, stud race horse, BABY! Girls, you can just call me Secretariat. WOOOOOOOOOO! Enough jibber jabber, thought I would have loved to cut that promo in front of "Mean" Gene Okerlund. Have you had time to check out the lateral deltoid? There were many a classic pro wrestling promo cut in AWA in front of Mean Gene with the likes of Nick Bockwinkel, Bobby The Brain and Jesse The Body. Thats the subject of today's Pro Wrestling Love it is my favorite promotion form the 1980s the American Wrestling Association run by famed pro wrestler Verne Gagne out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The 1980s AWA is centered around one of the all-time great pro wrestling villains, the erudite & urbane Nick Bockwinkel (those two words were for you, brutha, rest in peace my man). He had classic series with Curt Hennig & Rick Martel. Also inside you will learn about one of the great hidden gems of the 1980s: Sheik Ayatollah Crusher Jerry Blackwell, call him what you will, but you will call him "awesome" when you watch him. Finally, you just get enough of the famous Rockers vs Rose & Somers feud to whet your appetite. It is Mega-Sized Pro Wrestling Love for the New Years! Happy New Year! ridingspacemountain.blogspot.com/2018/12/pro-wrestling-love-vol-27-best-of-awa.html
