Genichiro Tenryu vs. Atsushi Onita (No Rope Explosive Barbed Wire Cage Death Match - FMW - 5/5/94) Two of the best main event spectacle wrestlers of all time have a great match in one of the biggest main event spectacles of all time. This match was great before it ever happened. Genichiro Tenryu takes a face first bump into an exploding barbed wire cage. What a career. In a 5 month period he beat both Antonio Inoki and Atsushi Onita. From 1989-1994 he wrestled Antonio Inoki, Atsushi Onita, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, The Road Warriors, Demolition, Stan Hansen, Tatsumi Fujinami, Riki Choshu, Jumbo Tsuruta, the 4 Pillars, the 3 Musketeers and appeared in 2 Royal Rumbles. Hahahaha. He’s fucking amazing.

This is such a spectacle. The sparse ambiance of Kawasaki stadium fits FMW so well. This is all about teasing the gimmick, building up to the big explosion spots. They do it really well. I can tell you now it won't make my top 100, and for me is always in the shadow of the Funk Onita match the year prior. But it's still great.
