Riki Choshu vs Killer Khan (AJPW 7/31/1986)
1980s Riki Choshu is one of the greatest wrestlers ever and Khan at his absolute peak is amazing. This is Khan at his peak. This is just a fucking fight. Two of the most charismatic dudes of all time beating the absolute shit out of each other until they're covered in blood. Amazing amazing spectacle. This finished in the top 10 and ahead of Funk vs Hansen 4/83 on the DVDVR 80s AJPW Set Voting. So this definitely should be nominated.

Second
This match always struck me as something weirdly singular. I agree that Choshu is fantastic and Peak Khan is... well Peak Khan so it shouldn't feel so unique and surprising to me, but it does. This was a whirlwind of a match, so violent and brutal without losing the plot. Really deserving of consideration.

Outside of Funk/Hansen I'm not sure there's a better All Japan bloodbath, and I've really grown to like the grueling brawls more than the "epics" that prevaled in the following decades. There's a charming violence to this match perfectly fitting for its time. Definitely a match I'm going to consider strongly.

Third. A brawl for the ages thanks to a great performance by one of the best wrestlers AJPW in the 80's had to offer. The blood flowing in Killer Khan's forehead combined with peak Riki Choshu makes for an instant classic.
