This was just as great as their 1966 match. The main differences were that this 1975 match was a Texas Death Match and this 1975 match contained blood. Also, we got a decisive victory in the end. The blood added a lot to this match and made it feel even more like a war. Fritz Von Erich juiced after some of Giant Baba’s chops. This match was all about Fritz’ iron claw vs. Baba’s chops. One of the many cool moments of this match was when Baba viciously stomped on Fritz’ hand to try to protect himself from the iron claw.

Seconded. I doubt this will make my ballot, but it's something I think people should watch as it's the most minimalistic great match I've ever seen. The whole thing is just Baba trying to fight off the iron claw and sometimes firing back with chops, but they make it work and the crowd is rabid for it. I think an audience member even tries to attack Fritz at one point. One of those matches that I think should be studied in wrestling school.

Fritz von Erich is one of the grittiest pro wrestlers of all time, and slotting him in a double juice last man standing from 1975 produces a suitably gritty result. Fritz may have the greatest grimace in wrestling, as when he is covered in blood he looks straight out of a horror move and when his claw of doom slowly descends on Babas face you can sense real terror. I enjoyed Baba stomping and chopping away at Fritzs arm and shoulder with his giant mutant hands and feet, altough the hand work didn't prevent him from getting CLAW'd. Baba gasping for air like a fish out of water after Erich put the stomach claw on him was an epic visual. Still I wish I could see Fritz having this match against someone a little more energetic than Baba and I thought Baba decimating Fritz with his trademark weak chops wasn't the greatest finish.

I watched this recently and absolutely loved it. I preferred it to the 66 match by just a hair. Fitz is probably the best swaggering bad ass dick head in the first one, but where he doesn't reach that level here, he makes it for it by being a horror monster covered in blood and trying desperate to pull baba's insides out. This is gritty and ugly and brutal in all the best ways. I think this worked well for Baba and I liked him in it, but yeah... this is the Fritz show. Not making my list, but absolutely brilliant all the same.

The hot start in this one was awesome and I am so impressed with Fritz. He was great here, great spots built around the claw. I think I preferred the 1966 match, but just from these two you can tell fritz is an all time great.

Fritz gave Baba a lot to work with, it could have been a real all time great match.

This is one of the best rivalries ever. The 1966 match is my favorite but this one is also fantastic. Folks should check out their other matches too. These guys always deliver.
