Invader 1 vs Ron Starr (WWC - 9/19/1986) This is one of my favorite matches ever and quite possibly the single greatest performance I've ever seen by a wrestler in a match. When I finished the DVDVR Puerto Rico set, I came away thinking that Ron Starr was one of the most underrated pro wrestlers of the 80s. He's a really well rounded wrestler who had a bunch of versatility. But this is the Invader 1 show. He is out of this world in this match. Like Sangre Chicana at his peak in terms of selling and making comebacks with punches and it being THE greatest thing ever. I think Starr is perfectly fine, good maybe even great in this. But I have no idea. Invader is so over the top amazing I don't think I've seen Starr in this even thoughh I know he's in it and I've watched it multiple times. Just watch it.

Second. I basically agree with everything elliot says. Even with five minutes lost to editing this was an incredible performance by Invader I. His selling in this is just amazing, basically falling into the laps of the crowd and feeding off them in a way that is somehow melodramatic but NOT hammy. I also love some of Starr's cut offs in this. A nasty short knee, and man the finish is awesome as you think the hero is going to make his big play and then BAM sometimes evil wins

Third. Won't rank it but this is very good, dramatic match with an outstanding selling performance from Invader. Must see for fans of brawls/PR.
