I recall hearing that a lot of the fans and male wrestlers preferred to ignore the women's promotions because they thought teenage girls doing everything the men were doing in the ring exposed the business.

Holy shit! I mean, fucking wow. I’m at a loss for words at this match. Its entire presentation from the entrances and beyond is just phenomenal. To simply put it, it’s an absolute classic in every sense of the word. The brawling is OUT OF CONTROL in ways that wrestlers such as Stan Hansen was never really able to capture himself. It was uncontainable between not only Dump and Yukari but all the seconds on the outside, too, including Gokuaku Domei, Devil Masami and Chigusa Nagayo. First of all, Dump's entrance was amazing. I adored her Samurai costume as it makes her look like a total monstrous villain. Her eyes among the blackish face mask, especially, gave me that feeling. Yukari Omori came out with shoulder pads that reminded me of Norman Smiley but it worked and it definitely helped give the match an intense aura without them even touching. And when they did, the match broke down immediately into the Dump Masamoto show. Teenager girls crying, wild brawling, scissor stabbings. Wrestling. *****

So, I don't know much about AJW or any of the participants in this match. After watching this, I guess I need to change that. This shit is bananas. It might be the most out of control thing I've ever seen in wrestling, outside of legitimate riots. Dump Matsumoto looked like a real evil psycho, and whether it was just because Dump did such a good job or not, Yukari Ohmori looked valiant in her efforts to fend off the hellish onslaught she was receiving. She looked legitimately pissed off when she spat on Dump, but considering Dump did one of the most grotesque things I've ever seen in a pro wrestling match to her, I wouldn't be surprised to find out she was a little hot. Kudos to Ohmori for staying in the action despite having her arm punctured like that. And Jesus Christ was it terrifying every time Dump had those scissors wildly flailing around. This was tremendous.

I've got a bunch of recommendations in this thread: gweproject.freeforums.net/thread/1205/elliott-recommends-matches-threadFeel free to ask any questions. The only AJW matches like this are Dump Matsumoto's. I LOOOOVE her. But theres plenty of great traditional wrestling like Chigusa Nagayo vs Devil Masami or Jaguar Yokota vs Lioness Asuka. But it doesn't look like traditional 80s wrestling. Its closer to 90s NJPW Juniors or AJPW Heavies with some UWF style flavor when its Chigusa vs Lioness.

All the chaos in this match was believable. They kept going to places I hadn’t been to before and didn’t think they would go. The scissors in the arm was a wow moment but Dump was stabbing her to get out of the leg lock I was wincing. Agree that Dump’s get up during the ring entrance was all time great.

Well, this match was a revelation. A completely out-of-control fight that felt not only like the apex of its style but also served as one of the blueprints for the garbage brawling of the 90s, most especially that in ECW.
If you're going to go for a FIP role like this, you need a monster willing to really lay it in and a wrestler willing to take a licking. More often than not, the former doesn't exist so you're left with the face playing from under to a disproportionate level of ineffective, namby-pamby violence. Oh, boy, that wasn't the case here. Dump is absolutely relentless in maiming Yukari, whether its with items littered around ringside or a gigantic pair of scissors that ends up IN Yukari's arm. 'Struth!
My only real detraction is that the seconds at ringside weren't willing to go along with the violence. I do think the sheer number of people doing pull aparts and group muggings helped add to its chaotic nature but some came across as bush league amateurs in their strikes. I felt there were also times where Yukari's seconds actively avoided getting involved so that she could get beaten down (I guess as to not interrupt the flow of the match). It's a trope of wrestling, and one you need to obviously suspend your disbelief for, yet its easier to do so when their positioning is out of focus and not standing next to the crime scene going down.
With that said, I'm really nitpicking as one must when a match reaches such a high calibre. What Dump and Yukari brought on this day was magic. Off the top of my head, this is the best chaotic brawl I've witnessed. Super stuff.

Well that was just about the damndest thing I've seen in a long time! One of the most unique matches I've seen and probably the best example of an out of control, riotous crowd brawl without being a legit riot. I can't imagine this not being on my list. I put this in the same realm as amazing spectacle/angle that I would have Savage/Warrior, Flair/DiBiase and Undertaker/AJ Styles. I'm so glad to have seen this!
Silly question, I could not figure out who Dump's second with the blue hair and shirt was. Was it Bull Nakano or someone else?

I don't know where this will end up on my list. It could be #100, it could be #1. All I know is that this has to make my list. I've never seen anything quite like this. Everything about this was completely unhinged and maniacal violence, from the pre-match where someone (I'm not sure who that was) threatened one of the cameramen to the post-match where Bull Nakano starts biting at Yukari's scissor-inflicted wound. And at the centre of it all was an all-time great performance from Dump Matsumoto who looked like a monster from a slasher film. Absolutely phenomenal stuff.

As you finalize your ballots don't forget that time Dump Matsumoto tried to murder YUkari Ohmori with a pair of scissors and we all agreed it was 5 to infinity stars.
