Figured we would start one over here.
I just saw that Enzo and Janela got into a confrontation (wouldn't call it a fight) at a Blink 182 concernt, which feels like a perfect 2019 wrestling fever dream. I said it on twitter that I am now gong to start brainstorming what wrestlers I want to see fight Enzo and what concerts I want to see the fight happen at.
Josh Barnett at an Iron Maiden show would be a very different kind of amusing to me.

Anyone interested in an informal, just for fun wrestling draft sort of thing? My buddy and I did one that was pretty fun a few years back. We basically just took turns pickings since there were only two of us, one pick a day. Anyone through wrestling history is fair game, but a person can only be picked once (so no Mankind AND Cactus Jack). You get them in their prime (or whatever version of them you want, but you gotta pick).
We did 50 picks (might be too many), but managers, announcers, personalities, male wrestlers, and female wrestlers were all part of the same pool. No real "winners and losers" (though i clearly won), we just compared rosters and talked about the type of promotion we would run with it.
We could do it in a side thread here if people were interested, layout the rules and update the first message in the thread as it went. If not - or if people already have enough wrestling occupying mental space - that is cool. I just thought of it today and figured I'd float the idea out.

I've done a few of those in the past and they're always fun. I'd be down.

I have to admit, I was really happy with my roster when I did this years back, but it was hodge-podgy. I didn't have a particular type of promotion in mind.
Lets maybe give this a little more time and see if anyone else is into the idea.

Such an talent who was always adding to matches You should watch the Tenryu vs Savage match from the Dome. Sherri is so great in it. I used to hate Sherri as a kid...that voice....now I love Sherri. In terms of managers I'd put her behind Heenan, Jimmy Hart, Cornette and...I'm honestly not sure anybody else. Maybe Chicky Starr but he was a different case from those other folks. Anyway yeah Sherri was awesome.

She was absolutely awesome in the Savage/Warrior match from Wrestlemania VII as well. Like, that's one of the best manager performances I've ever seen. Maybe the best (it's not really something I've given much thought to, but I imagine it'd be an interesting little topic).

Rank these things in order of obnoxiousness: Masa Chono's breathing, Mick Foley's Screeching, Manami Toyota's Screeching, Bill Alfonso's whistle, Todd Pettengill.

This is a random one. I was looking at the full card for Starrcade 93 and I saw that Sting & Road Warrior Hawk vs The Nasty Boys is 29:11 and ends via DQ, a full 8 minutes longer than the 21:11 Vader vs Flair. That can't fucking possibly be right, RIGHT? I am afraid to look. I love the Nasty Boys and Road Warrior Hawk and actually this era of Sting now that I think about it. But the idea of them going almost 30 minutes is INSANE. Its like 9 minutes right? I feel like those 4 guys would have been like " Can we not work for 30 minutes? Are you crazy?"
I haven't watched that entire show since I was a kid and have zero memory of this match.

I randomly saw Chris Jericho took a shot at Walter for having a bad wrestling name. This is from a guy who landed on "Chris?"

I randomly saw Chris Jericho took a shot at Walter for having a bad wrestling name. This is from a guy who landed on "Chris?" This got to me thinking about the BEST wrestler names. Here's what I have (in no particular order except numbers 1 and 2). 1. Ricky Steamboat 2. Randy Savage 3. Terry Funk (extra points for being his shoot name) 4. Stone Cold Steve Austin 5. The Rock 6. Hulk Hogan 7. Mike Awesome 8. The Undertaker 9. Big Boss Man 10. Diamond Dallas Page
