I thought Tana did. I though the was really really good this year. I would agree on the rest though. I also didn't find Robinson or White quite as compelling. I thought Juice had some surprisingly good performances, but also vanished into the background a few times. White to me is obviously great, but I just came away apathetic about his journey. There was something missing in terms of getting invested in him one way or the other. Once he promised he would make it to the finals and they leaned into the "what he says always comes true" thing I just sort of accepted what they were doing and nothing he really did in a match itself sucked me in.
To me the MVP candidates are Ishii, Shingo, Moxley, and Tana. Yano is a good darkhorse addition to. He had an excellent tournament and kept a lot of shows interesting at just the right time.

I think this G1 had more volume than 2017 due to having a deeper field, but 2017 had higher peaks and better booking.

I thought Okada and Ibushi were also consistently good, but Naito was a bit hit-or-miss.

I would agree they were fairly consistent, but didn't think either jumped off the page and elevated matches quite as much as the folks I listed. Both had matches in my top 10 of the tournament I think, but they faded into the sea of great wrestling a lot to me.

I actually thought 27 was more consistent than this years. It's easier to pick an MVP for 27, but that's only because both Okada and Omega had Godly tournament runs that I think only Ibushi has managed to match at 28.

27 for me came down to Okada and Ibushi. Omega had some great matches but thought he lacked the consistency that Okada and Ibushi did.
