Divisive one.... I for one think Brock is a generational talent. I'd like to say I wish he loved wrestling, but honestly, if he did and he wanted to wrestle all the time I am not sure he would be as good. he isn't always motivated, but when he is Brock can put on an all timer with just about anyone. He is a freak of nature who can sell when he wants to.

Never have I been more frustrated with a wrestler than Brock. He was one of my absolute favorites when he returned in 2012 up until about Mania 32. He was really the only wrestler to have an actual "attraction" feel as this unstoppable force of carnage backed up by his legitimacy as a genuinely great MMA fighter. His strength and explosiveness are impressive. When he tries, he's a really underrated seller. His 2002-2004 run also has a ton of really good matches that showed off his athleticism and bumping ability. But from 2016-onwards...I'm just done with him. I'm never sure if it's just that he's physically unable to go longer than 10-15 minutes or he just doesn't care anymore, but so many of his matches have featured the same "eat opponents alive with suplexes, F-5", done" formula that actively hurts the product. He's still more than capable of a great match and I actually don't mind at all that he works sprints. It's just so rare you get a motivated Brock who doesn't make his opponent look like crap.

I loved the Extreme Rules match with Cena. One of the best matches of the last 25 years and I'm not sure anyone in the history of wrestling could have played the Brock role as well as he did in that match. There's something to that. In general though the worm turned for me with that triple threat match from the royal rumble that everyone loved. That match sucked, but its probably safe to blame Rollins.

The Rumble match is one I've always liked and at one time I went the full 5 on, but it took a pretty big hit during a re-watch for the 2019 ballot. Would agree the Cena match is better.
