No singles matches that I know of, but the Burning vs. No Fear tag match on 10/30/99 is blowaway great. It's one of the matches in my nomination queue.
EDIT: This is in response to elliott asking if there are any big Akiyama/Takayama matches.

The Hase match has its haters but I absolutely love it and it did pretty well on my list. Starts off with some top notch amateur style matwork before turning into a violent oneupmanship contest. It's the match that Kobashi/Sasaki wishes it was. Well worth watching if you haven't. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KR_BxfWrJmQOther great Akiyama singles not mentioned would be 98 Ogawa, 99, 2012, and 2014 Omori, the whole Suwama series, Tenzan G1 final, Hashi 2004, Kawada 95 CC, and Taue 2006 GHC. Yeah I always really liked the Hase match.

Is there a big Akiyama vs Takayama match? Quick look has two matches from 2010 and 11, which might be a little late for Takayama? I've seen one of those, think it was NOAH tournament final. I don't remember it really at all besides Takayama won, so it can't have been too special.

Why have I never seen this?

I already really loved Akiyama but his stock is progressively rising with the help of this DDT run where he's really been a breath of fresh air and is doing terrific work in a very hit or miss promotion to put it lightly. Looks even better when you compare him to the other old man CyberAgent world champ who has no working knees. One thing he's definitely got going above all of the pillars is longevity and the fact that he was able to take care of his body far better than any of them along with the fact that he often produced more nuanced, psychological matches in my eyes.

I wouldn't be surprised if anyone ranked him higher than any Pillar ,and that's only based on 90s and 00s Akiyama. With a deeper look at his 10s work, specially his late 10s stuff and whatever he's doing on DDT right now, I might even put him ahead of Kawada, Taue and even Misawa (but probably not Kobashi).

2016-19 is him primarily working openers. I'd definitely recommend his first singles match w/ Takeshita on 11/3/20

I'm not opposed to Jun being ranked above all 4 pillars even though I don't think I personally would. His longevity is insane and to this day is still a very good wrestler. His 2019 Champion Carnival run was great and his recent match against Tetsuya Endo in DDT is very good. It's really a testament to his ability to adapt and his sense of psychology.
