If we ever did Greatest Wrestler Ever again, I could quite honestly see myself ranking Greg Valentine in the top 25. The Piper matches are all time great matches. The feud with Tito Santana is one of the best in the history of the WWF. Oh so is his feud with Backlund. He also had fun stuff with Garvin when both were past their prime and were past of the point of people really giving a shit about them. Even carrying an anchor like Beefcake, Valentine managed to have some of the best tags of the golden era of WWF tag teams.
Kind of like William Regal only with the truly top tier output (the two Piper matches).
