Sasha Banks vs Charlotte (Hell in a Cell - WWE - 10/30/16) One of the best matches in WWE history. I said it when it happened. Did like a 2 hour podcast with Stacey where we broke it down in depth (I can't find the link for it). This was an amazing match full of great work, incredible character commitment, incredible bumping, brutally stiff strikes, and raw emotion. This is a strong contender for my list. Classic match. The folks who don't like it are incorrect.

Second
I can't see this one on my list, but I do really like it. It took some growing on me. At first I was sort of so-so on it, but something kept lingering in my mind so I watched it like two more times and eventually found that I am really into it. I think I had this as my #11 match of the year. It was on my top 10 and then got bumped into honorable mentions at the last minute. It wouldn't make my top 10 WWE matches ever list I don't THINK, but it absolutely deserves consideration.

I think this is probably gonna be my pick for the most underrated match in recent memory. Feels incredibly brutal despite not using blood. I hate the stretcher spot but I don't hate quite as much on rewatch as I did live. Felt like the night Sasha proved she could be a great babyface (even if she's better as a heel) and Charlotte proved she could be a great heel.

Probably won't make my list but I still love this match (even if the wrong person went over). I feel it gets overlooked compared to their Falls Count Anywhere match, but this was still an awesome, violent brawl. I didn't even hate the stretcher spot.

I've nominated the Falls Count Anywhere match coz I think that one was better even if this is 'overlooked', but it's interesting to compare them. Of course a heel can win a great match but there's something about this one that just kills it. Crowd aren't even angry that Charlotte won, they're just dejected, so you hear crickets.

Yes from me even with the lengthy stretcher job. Liked the use of the Cell, the weapons and the finish. Charlotte ragdolls Sasha twice to a table and gets Natural Selection as a move that can end the match.

I really think that stretcher spot was a negative for me. It felt so long and I am not sure why but at the time it felt overdone. The thing that really kind of bothered me was that they were building this narrative up about how this was going to be the first women's HIAC and how women could do anything men could do, all stuff I am very much on board with. Then, very early, sasha takes a brutal looking bump, but it was a bump that the men take CONSTANTLY and never get stretchered out for. At the time it felt like they were needlessly treating one of the women differently, more delicately than they would the men. Now obviously her coming back and having a barn burner was great and sort of re-solidified her toughness within the story, but that part just didn't seem necessary to me. Again, on rewatch it didn't matter to me as much, but it just didn't add to the match for me like it did others.
