Akira Hokuto & Bull Nakano vs. Kyoko Inoue & Takako Inoue (AJW - 6/21/92) I don’t know how someone could look at Bull Nakano & Akira Hokuto in full Dangerous Queen regalia and not instantly fall in love with this match, this era of Joshi and just pro-wrestling. No one was cooler than Bull Nakano in the early 90s. Early on this is just Bull & Hokuto dominating the Inoues. They seem to especially delight in destroying Takako. It has your classic Joshi fast pace, but everything Hokuto & Nakano do has an extra edge & viciousness to it that things still manage to sink in. Debbie Malenko is on commentary and the translator asks her ‘What do you think of Hokuto’s suplexes?” and Debbie just laughs and says “Best in the business.” Amen, Deb. Amen. The Inoues got a few nice spots in (especially against Hokuto) but this is largely Bull & Hokuto destroying their lower ranked opponents. One of the all time competitive squash matches. We needed more Bull & Hokuto teaming up.

3rd. This one wasn’t even on my radar and now I’m thinking about trying to clear some room at the tail end of my list.
