This is the famous match where beforehand Foley was like “Hey, Leon, wanna just break my face?” And so Vader did. Foley’s comeback is ok, but he’s just not really a good offensive wrestler. This is allllll about Vader’s face breaking.

I haven’t seen this match or the rematch in a long long time, but this was riveting. I agree about Foley’s offense not being very impressive but it almost doesn’t matter. These shots in the corner by Vader were just vicious and the match told a great story.

This is a match not enough people talk about. It is brutal and Vader has some of the hardest strikes I’ve ever seen. It’s a brawl with cactus Jack selling his ass off the whole time. Blood and the broken nose makes the match just so much better in a way that makes It all the more unhinged.

Holy shit this match is nuts. The sounds of some of the strikes that Vader hit on Cactus Jack were genuinely sickening at some points. This is absolutely incredible.
