I am going to take Banks/Bayley in this one. Both of these matches are matches I consider to be great, but not really in consideration for the list. In that they are sort of close for me. I think Banks and Bayley have better interactive chemistry. In ways I think Nagayo and Ozaki has something of a lack of chemistry that makes the flow of their match a little choppy for me. However where that match excels is how each woman brings something sort of unique to the match. I am not talking in terms of a heel/face dynamic which, Bayley and Sasha knock out of the park, but rather characteristics. Ozaki brings a chaotic brutality and Nagayo brings some of the drama and timing.
The Nagayo/Ozaki match is really more my thing on the whole, but this match - as i said in the thread, if I am nitpicking - just never quite ebbs and flows right to get to the next level. Banks and Bayley get a lot closer in that regard. I get lost in that match. It builds so beautifully and tells just an awesome story with a satisfying ending.

I'm going with Nagayo-Ozaki. Bayley-Sasha is a terrific match and the storytelling and limbwork is very good. However, I almost feel like it's a match of diminishing returns. In the moment, I had the investment of Bayley finally winning the big one after a year of disappointments. Watching it again knowing the result, the drama just doesn't quite hold up as well. Not to mention the first half feels like a decent TV match and the second half is when we get a really great title match.
Nagayo-Ozaki on the other hand is a wonderfully violent spectacle and never lets up. Ozaki no-selling Nagayo and coming back from every blow is something straight out of a horror movie in the best possible way. And while Ozaki's execution has never been great (and especially so in this match), it comes off authentically as a violent fighter going for broke against a physically more powerful opponent.

I need to watch Ozaki/Nagayo before voting.
I think Sasha/Bayley is really good, but I don't love it. I actually prefer Sasha/Becky from the May Takeover that year. I'm not a huge Bayley fan and think her offence generally doesn't look great, but this is probably my favourite performance of hers, especially from a selling perspective, and she was really good in it. Sasha was pretty great, especially the more annoyed she got at Bayley not going down, which of course led to the hand work and that was probably the best stuff in the match. Her nasty little takes on submissions always rule as well. The most impressive thing about the match is how they took a crowd that was fairly split in the first half, to getting them well and truly behind Bayley by the end. There's something to be said for that in 2015.

I went with Bayley/Banks.
Ozaki/Nagayo had plenty of badass dangerous strikes, stomps and blood throughout. However, I hated the constant no selling and thought it killed the match. Pretty much every single transition throughout the match was flimsy. For example, Nagayo nailed Ozaki with a thick powerbomb in the opening minutes and tried to cave her face in with a kick, only for Ozaki to hit a soft looking clothesline and be back on offense. Later on both women would absorb moves and immediately go back on the attack. Even the crowd seemed confused by Nagayo just ignoring a tiger suplex from Ozaki. Also, the match was far too long.
Bayley/Banks was structurally the much better match. Altough there was some weak/flimsy looking offense throughout, all the key moments looked good. Plenty of neat attempted comebacks and cut offs. The reverse Frankensteiner bump was about as psychotic as anything in the above joshi match.

Since one week has passed, Bayley/Banks wins 5:1 and advances to the next round.
