Shinya Hashimoto vs Masa Chono (G1 Climax - NJPW - 8/9/1991) This was SHOCKINGLY great. I love Hashimoto and this was before Chono sucked. But I was not looking forward to these two in a 30 minute draw. But holy fuck. It is so engaging and dramatic that the time flies by. I remember the first time I watched this I watched it the next day just because I couldn't stop thinking about it. That isn't something I do normally, especially with matches that long. But holy shit. One of the two best Chono matches I've ever seen but also one of the best Hashimoto matches I've ever seen which is even more impressive.

Second
Not sure this is going to make the cut for me, but I'm open to considering it for sure. Anything with Hashimoto deserves a chance.

Bumping this becasue MVZ said elsewhere they've been enjoying Hashimoto recently. This is a ridiculously great match considering its a 30minute draw with Chono.

The Chono here is very different from the guy I saw on occasion in WCW. Hashimoto maybe helped raise his game!
I liked this match because it kept building and building and I got more invested as time went on. And Hashimoto’s offense was really strong throughout. He has a way of keeping you invested.
