This was a no-DQ match for Fatu's MLW World Heavyweight Championship. Between the blood, the super-heavyweight brawling, the high flying, and the fireball-throwing Arab manager, it was like a cross between Mid-South and an 80s lucha hair match. Park's selling and attempts to establish separation during the lengthy Fatu beatdown kept that part of the match interesting, and his extended comeback was practically Misawa-esque. Both competitors bust out moves that shouldn't be possible for men their size, particularly Fatu's Fosbury Flop. I didn't care for the Ishii/Shibata suplex trading in the beginning, but pretty much everything once Park got busted open was picture-perfect.

Agree with really everything NL says about the match. The trading German suplexes spot was so fucking dumb and just not necessary at all, but it was early over quickly and nothing like that happened again. Outstanding match. Anyone who still believes Park couldn't have been a huge star for WWE or WCW is insane. Case in point, this exact match.

Yeah. This is really good stuff. Doesn't top my list for the year, but it is a real real solid match.
