Ummmm what the hell? Hand-held version of a match that only aired clipped on TV and it is every bit as fucking awesome as you would hope. There's a lot of sequences similar to their May 92 classic that makes this feel like the 4/93 Hansen vs Kobashi to the 7/93 Hansen vs Kobashi. This has a typically hot early 90s AJPW crowd, but it definitely doesn't have magical feel of the May match. And there's one badly blown Kikuchi snap suplex early on. Other than that, this is an absolutely outstanding match that I could easily see picking up some votes. WHERE THE FUCK DID THIS COME FROM? www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGnSXXP_uSQ

I've heard there's a treasure trove of AJPW fancam matches that still haven't come out.

Yeah, easy second and surprised none of us discovered this sooner haha. Second half is unbelievably hot with all the exchanges and pin break-ups. Not a down moment to be found and excellent prequel to the '92 match.

Finally got to this. Easy 3rd.
I get the comparison, but this isn't quite as good as the Hansen/Kobashi fancam-prequel-to-a-classic for me, but it is still very good, especially the last 2/3rds.... white hot. Finish came up a touch flat to me, but that might be the fan cam not capturing it fully.

A great match. Not as great as the 1992 version but that is faint criticism. Of course that footage is not handheld but I still think the comparison would hold otherwise. Furnas and Kroffat come in looking like the coolest tag team in the world. Some great Boston Crab work by them. I liked that Furnas went for a Frankensteiner and Kobashi effortlessly turned it into a powerbomb which made it more exciting when Furnas hit the Frankensteiner later. Kikuchi worked great underneath as always.
