Trevor Lee vs Andrew Everett (CWF- Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Championship - CWF-MA - 6/18/2016)
Trevor Lee's title run in CWF-MA is an all timer. He is just lights out every time he steps in the ring. This is one of my two favorites from that run (so far). This one feels like an old Studio Crockett match mixed with an NWA title match mixed with an AJPW Triple Crown title match. It is an absolute resume builder for both men, a match that feels self evidently awesome (if not objectively "great") to me.

A great title match for Lee's great 2016 CWF title reign but I have difficulty considering it one of the best matches ever. I feel Lee is usually at his best slightly heeling it up as he does here and Everett did come across as a legitimate threat to the reign at the time. However, I just don't feel the match is *that* memorable in the end.

I'll give this a third.
I've watched every episode of CWF Worldwide and a lot of the stuff the promotion put out going back before that, and this is probably my favorite match in company history. They did as good a job with nearfalls and convincing you of a switch here as they've done in any Lee match over the last two years, and the back story between the two guys added to the match. I thought it was more organically long than a lot of other Lee matches have been, and in my eyes it felt the most like a classic title defense against another top flight opponent of any of the CWF title matches. I don't think it had the emotional punch that Lee v. Day had for me personally, but I do think it was the better match. It was not my MOTY last year, but I do think it's better than any match that happened in 2017.
