Daisuke Ikeda and Takeshi Ono
The more I watch the more I'm convinced they're one of the most underrated duos ever. They represent everything you want to see in a Bati-Bati tag setting: great mat work, great US pro style tag psychology, and uncompromising violence. Probably 2-3 tag matches of theirs I could legit call some of my favorite tag matches and the work where they were on opposite sides was also just as high end.

andylfc recently got me to finally dive into battlearts tags and we started with this duo vs Otsuka and Ishikawa. HOLY FUCK. I haven't had time to dive in further (though I really want to), but on that one match alone (and a few gifs I've seen recently), this might be my favorite tag team. Ono is not someone I was super familiar with, but his brand of assholery really compliments Ikeda's. I think MJP nailed it... "uncompromising violence". Don't get near the fucking corner with these guys. It is like a death trap. Unreal stuff. I'm really looking forward to watching more from these guys.

That's the '96 match, right? If so, that match has made my ballot the last two years.

Yep... REALLY good chance it makes my list. I want to see how it stacks up to some other tags from the promotion first and give myself time to cool from my first (and second) watch hype.
