Here are the rules for the Greatest Match Ever Project.1) The ballot is due the day of Survivor Series 2021 (by the end of the show) 2) The nomination process for 2020 will end on Nov 1, 2021. 3) You can only vote for nominated matches (See nomination process) 4) The ballot will consist of 100 matches. You must submit a complete ballot with 100 Matches Nomination ProcessIn order for a match to be eligible to be voted on in the Greatest Match Ever Project, it must be nominated. The process if very simple and the restrictions can be found HERE1) Start a thread for a match (that hasn't already had the process started on it) in the Nomination Process section of the board. 2) In that thread, three people must advocate for the match, which can be a simple "second" or "third" OR you can submit a direct nomination by writing a one paragraph case for the match. If you are not a mod you must still put direct nominations in the Nomination Process forum. 3) After that is completed, a mod will move the match from the Nomination Process section to the Nominees section. Any nominations submitted after Nov. 1st will not be considered. We may not get to move every qualifying match to the official list, but if it meets the requirements it can be considered (even if it is still in the nomination process section). What can I say, we aren't the fastest in this regard and we will likely never be completely caught up. If you have questions about a match's nomination status just email a mod.
Note: If you vote for a match that has not cleared nominations (assuming we catch it), that vote will simply not be counted. We sort through hundreds of matches so it is possible we will miss one or two in the "others receiving votes" section, but we will not miss one in the actual top 100 list. Please double check and make sure your matches have cleared nomination before submitting. 2021 Ballot

sorry I couldn't find my password to log in here. I gave my 119 potential matches to Elliott and he said there was like 20 that weren't nominated...

There are like 4 matches in my top 50 that aren't nominated... it's kind of a mess. Sorry couldn't find my password earlier. I can nominate them tonight. |

It's entirely possible that the matches have been nominated and are just buried somewhere in the Nomination Process folder. The search function on this board is kind of a mess.

Grimmas, It is technically stretching the rules a bit given that we were supposed to shut down nominations on the first. However, I don't think there will be major objections and we have been flexible with this. Since you have admin access, go ahead and direct nominate or move anything into the correct year and add them to the index. That will cut a step out at least.

I don't want to press the issue but is there any chance an admin can go through my nomination posts and either move them over to the nominee section (I wrote a paragraph for each explaining why I believe they have an argument) or tell me what I would need to expand on? I'm of the belief that there's only so much you can say about a wrestling match before you go into the "bullshit mode" some of us may be familiar with from our undergraduate days in college. I'm happy to revise my arguments of course! Just want to make sure I can add some matches to my list before I submit my ballot. |

If you have done enough by writing a paragraph you may vote for the match even if it hasn't been moved. Again, we are being as flexible as we can on this. We will get things moved over as we can. I haven't looked at each one of your nominations, but my guess is they are not in need of revision. I'll try to find some time to move things over tonight or tomorrow. |
