Horror films is my favorite genre and I’ve been collecting them since I was a youngster. I’m currently working on my top 100 which I’ll post here on Halloween evening.
Giallos might be my favorite sub genre along with early 80s slashers. Can’t deny the atmosphere of ghost stories, Universal Monsters and Hammer Horror!

I'm gonna watch Halloween Kills this weekend. Without spoiling anything, is it worth it?

Definitely worth your time.
I'm actually looking forward to David Gordon Greene rebooting the Exorcist next.

So I just finished watching FROM A WHISPER TO A SCREAM AKA THE OFFSPRING [1987] and it's a mean piece of business! It's a straight to video anthology horror film and one of Vincent Price's last films. What makes it really stand out among the other straight to video horror films of the time is that it's very serious and dark despite being low budget. For a Vincent Price film, there is a very surprising amount of gore in this. I read a review that kind of described it as EC Comics by way of Texas Chainsaw Massacre which is pretty close. It's all centered around a small town in Tennessee called Oldfield and how the town is cursed and Vincent Price tells a stranger 4 different tales. You have necrophilia (more implied but skeezy as all hell), voodoo and eternal life, Circus glass eaters and murderous Confederate children out for revenge. Also every tale has a cosmic kind of comeuppance for the villains ala Tales From the Crypt. This really pulls no punches and a story was told that Vincent Price was very upset with the producers because they didn't tell him just how graphic the film was going to be before he signed on. If you're into no frills, pull no punches low budget horror, give this a watch.

^Awesome list. A whole bunch of good shit on there, with very little I dislike. It's cool to see stuff like Jigoku, Angst, and Who Can Kill a Child? get represented. The Beyond being that high is also awesome. And Hellraiser II being the choice over I is the right call.

Chris Jericho being interviewed about Sleepaway Camp II www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kVwncsVSYs&ab_channel=DeadMeatInteresting to see Chris Jericho mention watching Lucio Fulci and Ruggero Deodato films. EDIT: I don't listen to Jericho's podcast, so if he regularly talks about horror films, I guess this isn't as interesting.
