The rematch following their first encounter in the 2016 G1 tournament. I consider this one of Okada's more underrated matches during his 2016-2017 run. This is an example of a longer match structured perfectly, with things escalating bit by bit leading to a crazy hot finishing stretch. This felt like a clash between Misawa's best protege and the ace of New Japan, resulting in a battle between two aces of Puroresu and two visions of the future of Puroresu itself. Okada hitting the Emerald Flowsion on Marufuji, with the crowd booing afterwards was a magical moment. Okada and Marufuji are two of the best when it comes to putting together great matches, and I would have loved to see them continue their feud before NOAH was purchased by another company a few months later. I think this has a good argument for one of the best Okada matches, and because of that, it has a good argument to be on a Top 100 list. *****
