Coming in to this, Arisa has failed to beat Nanae in all four of their singles matches so far. They put their hair on the line, and the stakes have never been higher. Arisa comes in with a strategy to attack and weaken Nanae's right arm and this works brilliantly - there are several moments in the match where Nanae's lariats and strikes just aren't hitting as hard as they should, and Arisa is able to recover quickly. Nanae's selling of the arm was absolutely wonderful; it wasn't just her holding her arm after every strike, it was a lot more in the finer details - the fact that she was pulling her lariats, those moments where she throws a strike with her left hand, and the fact that she had to resort to closed-fist punches and headbutts whenever she'd try and go blow-for-blow with Arisa. When you add in the level of violence, the drama, and the fact that the match absolutely flies by in spite of it's length, there's no question in my mind that this is a classic.

2nd. I confess I missed some of the nuances that Kas mentioned but I was completely taken in by the drama of this match. Nakajima gives a powerful, expressive performance as she overcomes the forceful Nanae. Definitely one to consider for the list for me, it hits all the right marks.

A little too over the top at times but it feels like a big emotional epic so you can kinda forgive them for it. Good stuff.
