These two are literally Best Friends and they do a great job of both displaying that, and displaying their competitive edge here. It’s stiff, emotional, and full of counters that really hit home due to their familiarity with one another.
I found myself cheering on Tsukasa as she desperately tried to defeat Arisa on her home turf. It felt like Tsukasa thought that if she couldn’t beat Arisa in Ice Ribbon, she couldn’t beat her anywhere. The finishing stretch is a thing of beauty and the entire match has little to no fat at all, I’d hazard to guess it's the type of match to bring in even the most weary eyed viewer.

Nakajima is an all time great and this finishing stretch was special. I’m not sure the whole thing held together as much as it should have, but my expectations may have been unreasonable:)
