Kad just casually asked me if I had seen it with no warning that it was a top 20 all time candidate. Amazing match. No surprise really but holy fuck is it great. One of the best Dump & Partner vs Crush Gals matches.

Right now Crush Gals vs Gokaku Doumei is probably my favourite feud ever. Was this match the start of the build to the Chigusa v Dump hair match?
Goes without saying this ruled.

Wow. I was hyped but this exceeded what I was expecting. an amazing Chigusa selling performance and the heels did plenty to get heat. Mind you, the heat was off the charts to start with. Brilliant build in the first fall, loved the ending of that one, then the quick second fall was fantastic. Chigusa was so gutsy! Amazing post match. 5 stars.

I wasn't planning on watching this until elliott told me I should, since I originally wanted to run through the highly-pimped Dump stuff before the deadline. This is the first wrestling match I've watched in about five weeks so it was going to take me a minute to get into the swing of things. Stylistically it wasn't particularly jarring, as I've seen some of the Dump stuff before (albeit yeeeears ago). In some ways Dump is the spiritual successor to Abby, but where Abby was a little more deliberate and dare I say restrained, Dump is neither. There would always be moments in Abby matches where he'd back the opponent into a corner or the ropes and the heat would shoot up because they anticipated a stabbing. There was always that sense of dread that would simmer before bubbling to the surface. With Dump there's no simmering and the heat is nuclear from start to finish. There's very little covert about what she does and the referees in AJW let everything fly so you've got people getting stabbed in the face with scissors or throttled by a chain all the time. Dump's crew of THUGS will jump in sporadically in full view of the ref and teenage girls will shriek and really every match is madness. As a psychotic horror villain she certainly knew how to terrify people. I thought Chigusa was really awesome in this, even just from her general selling. Gutsy is the word I'd use as well. Overall it's not REALLY my cup of tea, but like any other style of wrestling it probably needs me to get back into the swing of things to properly appreciate it.
