Just wanted to open up the discussion for rules and criteria for this year.
I think we have more or less settled on top 50 as the scope. The rest is sort of up in the air.
I am for a very informal approach to off year projects. I personally think whatever you think counts as a rivalry should count as a rivalry (assuming it is more than one interaction between wrestlers).
I am also personally in favor of a single thread that holds everyone's lists as apposed to calculating and rolling out lists.
As for date... thoughts? If we get too near the end of the year I think the chance of people just spacing on it increases greatly with the holidays. Here are a few ideas: Halloween (10/31) AEW All Out (9/4) AEW Full Gear (11/?) WWE Survivor Series (11/26) Any random wrestler birthday in the back 1/3rd of the year....

I'd aim for sometime in October to be on the safe side. How about October 26th? It's CM Punk's birthday as well as the 25th anniversary of Halloween Havoc 1997.

How are people handling group/promotional feuds. I'm planning on leaving off stuff like UWF vs NJPW, AJW vs JWP/LLPW. WCW vs NWO taht sort of thing.

I hadn’t decided on promotional feuds for my personal ballot but I would include them if I felt strongly. When it comes to individual matches I am quite lax when it comes to the match/angle divide so I would also be quite lax about including promotional feuds as well. I know others feel differently.

I’m wondering about how people are thinking of treating these three possibilities for their lists.
Lawler/Kaufman Austin/McMahon Hogan/Heenan
Lawler and Kaufman I feel like is acceptable based on whatever set of criteria you’d want to apply.
My initial instinct was that Austin-McMahon belongs, but I wonder if I felt that was only because it was memorable or popular. I am getting more comfortable with the idea of leaving it off for a number of reasons, but I am curious if people are considering including it or not.
Hogan/Heenan is the one where I’m not sure where I land. There is a classic protagonist/antagonist relationship over a long time, memorable angles and moments from matches, and at least some formal in ring component between the two from the AWA. I’m leaning toward including it.
I know we are taking a “to each their own” approach to this so I am not looking for consensus about whether to include. But I do want to hear thoughts to inform my own process.

Austin/McMahon might land at 50 for me. It’s more of a broad concept.
The other two, I believe will rank very high with me. I think there’s several classic matches involving both. In addition to being these great era defining stories.
