Last Man Standing
How do you make up for an overdone pairing with a history of poorly executed high profile matches? Well it does not get better than this. It is a wholly unique over-the-top, absurd spectacle. Effective over-booking, but genuine chaos and urgency. WWE is not known for doing special things but this was truly special. I feel sorry for those who are not overcome with joy watching a fresh wrestling spectacle.
The most effective use of farming implement I have ever seen in a professional wrestling context.
This is the best match these two ever had together and the only one that feels “complete”.
An epic hoot of a banger.

Boy howdy... I enjoyed this, but not at this level. It was indeed a hoot and I'm glad (and I suppose not particularly surprised) that you enjoyed it this much.

As a former forklift operator I loved when Lesnar and Bryan used forklifts in the past.
Lesnar looked like he’d driven one every day of his life. Bryan looked like he studied fastidiously and sought certification beforehand.
My father and uncle actively repair antique tractors for shows and my 3 year old is obsessed with tractors. So, this kinda crossing of worlds is something that really helps it for me.
I enjoy this equipment and I enjoy subverting the conventions of professional wrestling for the sake spectacle.
This was so many hoots. But, there’s a solid match here. I heard some complaints that it was a typical finisher spam match outside the obvious. But, there was real strategy and urgency from both sides.

I agree on all counts. I thought this was a great version of what it is and I think the match itself was good. Some things that I haven't loved about Reigns matches in general in the past couple years popped up, but I don't have any real "complaints" as such. I don't have the personal connection to tractors (though I grew up around them), but I get it. This was was a super fun use of it. I quite genuinely enjoyed it, might even be in my top 25 for the year at this point; it just wasn't something that struck me as a nominee, but again... glad you liked it that much.

The start is incredible. Mind blowing shit. But then this becomes really tedious. The later tractor spots are fun but this gimmick just makes for really tedious matches. They did a good job presenting these two as the baddest motherfuckers ever but I didn't love it. Not in the same universe as the match Seth ruined.

The fact that they were able to take a hot babyface Brock Lesnar and have him drive a tractor out to the ring and use it on the ring itself and still found a way to make the match boring is WWE in a nutshell.
Same as their first match where WWE wanted Roman to be the guy so they had Rock and Bryan and everyone else put him over as the guy and in the match itself he gave a babyface performance of a lifetime and they went for a cheap pop with Rollins instead.
Those are two defining moments of WWE for me.
Wrestlemania 31 they solidified that they did not want a next Ace. They only wanted a brand.
Summerslam 2022 they went for confident spectacle with underwhelming results. The perfect thing for a business model where clicks and views are the most important thing but competent storytelling doesn’t matter.
Wrestlemania 31 was WWE saying they don’t know what they are and Summerslam 2022 is them saying they know exactly who they are and both are awful.
