Mima Shimoda & Etsuko Mita vs Ayako Hamada & AKINO (ARSION - 12/11/1999)
Incredible tag match. This has a real shot at my list as it is the sort of violent bloody brawl I love in wrestling. LCO were one of the most undderrated teams ever and they are absolutely incredible heeling it up against the overmatched younger wrestlers. Great pacing, heat and emotion help this stand out. This is a match I really love.

2nd. Awesome violent gorefest with strong face/heel structure.
Full review:
Way to salvage the show. For those of you who don't know: this is just out of nowhere turns into one of the goriest matches ever. I dunno how good LCO actually are, but they are pretty effectiv here abusing the young girls and their cheating and not giving Hamakino much offense added a ton to the match. Shimoda leaving a bloody handprint on Aja's shirt was probably the baddest thing she ever did. Ayako and Akino put on an unreal performance – really one of the best „outmatched babyface“ performances I've ever seen. They worked together, and when it was time to bleed, they coated everything in red. Ayako was stunning in particular with her selling of the blood: at one point, she ducked a clothesline and just collapsed, as if she slipped on the blood. When she busted out the scissors and her's Papas signature headbutts as if she was channeling his spirit you know you are watching a classic. Hamakino sticking to flash pins and submissions during the finishing stretch was perfectly believable and produced great nearfalls, especially due to the booking of past matches. Intricate structure and really a total classic of a match, and probably an easy candidate for the best match ever that has two workers in their second year of wrestling.

Third.
It's a clear, understandable story told through sick and bloody violence. What Elliot and Jetlag said is exactly right: combines the classic "veteran tough heels vs scrappy young underdogs" type of match with the "crazed, bloody brawl" type of match in a very effective manner. LCO are true heels, all the way. It's almost a lost art, being so hate-able just for your actions in the ring. This match is a master-class in how to do that.

Inversely, when the beating is so savage, you feel genuine sympathy for the babyfaces. Not much to add here that hasn't already been said. I still think Rage in a Cage is the top LCO match but this is truly sensational and I'll strongly consider it for my list.

Rewatched this and could very much see it landing in the 80-100 section on my list. This is a gritty, violent and chaotic brawl that maintains its structure and storytelling. Truly excellent match. Needs to be viewed and discussed more.

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
I just finished this after watching Rage In The Cage earlier. What a pair of matches, this is my favourite of the two. I'm not sure what "can of whoopass" is in Japanese but an industrial-sized one was busted open here.
Some more LCO recommendations would be welcome!

First time ever for me with this match, it was fun as hell! Las Cachorras Orientales (lol this name rocks) were great heels. I also loved most of the spots that required teamwork, they were spectacular and flashy yet very believable and felt organic. The champs sold well, Hamada specially had very dramatic moments, but the match was so one sided I think it dragged a bit by the end, too many impossible nearfalls and the actual finish felt something out of pure luck, more than a comeback. Speaking of comebacks, the one with Ayako using one of LCO's chairs was amazing, maybe my favourite moment of the match (and Shimoda mocking Aja at ringside). A pretty good match, for sure, but not something I would consider an all time classic. That said, I really want more LCO matches!

the dictionary definition of a 0 to 100 match. solid first half then all of the sudden it turns into the mega bloodbath that is so violent that you begin to feel genuine concern for Ayako and AKINO. Both put in what I'd call their finest performances, especially AKINO and LCO did what LCO did best and that was dish out an ass-beating of epic proportions
