Incredible match with 2 dudes just powerbombing each other and hitting each other way to goddamn hard in the skull with chairs. This match does not stop moving and they pull out some truly insane bumps for thiis.

The later period of ECW is when I was finally able to watch it. From about late 97 on but my fondest memories are the Super Crazy/Tajiri matches, Steve Corino’s King of Old School gimmick and this feud. This was my favorite feud. But I only ever watched this match once and I remember the commentary aging poorly. I’d like to give it a shot again. I know I tried with their ECW proper matches and had some reservations about CTE and the like.

Yea, the commentary aged horrifically but if you're able to tune out that it's genuinely an incredible match.

Oh gotcha. I see what you did here.
Yea. This rules. I love their match. This matchup was everything to me at an impressionable age.

The Awesome/Tanaka matches are all pretty much interchangeable, so whichever one you saw first is probably your favorite.
