Kodo Fuyuki defends his WEW World Title in a 60-minute Iron Man Match against Hayabusa on the 26th of September, 2000 at Korakuen Hall.
Rest In Peace to both of these icons of pro-wrestling. Overrated wrestlers like HBK, Randy Orton, and William Regal were never on the level of either of these guys.
Interestingly, these two faced each other in an 'Octagon Exploding Cage Death Match', also in FMW, just 5 days prior to this match.
This match only had one review on cagematch - a fact which suggests that this match is a strangely little-known 60-min iron man match despite it taking place in a pretty famous wrestling company.
I regard this Iron Man Match as a classic and it is a lock in my top 100. This match features occasionally stiff offense, and features a table bump and the use of a wooden board within the first 8 minutes of the match.
These are two men skilled enough to construct a match on the fly, which certainly is important in a long match like this.

60 Minute Hayabusa matches have been outlawed by international law as a form of cruel & unusual punishment

Skimmed through it and shocker, this wasn't very good. Hayabusa is great when he's not having to somehow work an arm for nearly half the match and going really long. Fuyuki I like much more but he's not the man to be committing to hour long matches.
If they cut it down to 20/30 minutes with most of the crazy plunder stuff intact then I'd probably be a bit higher on it

This simultaneously feels like the sort of match that I need to see before I die and also the sort of match that might put me in the ground in the first place.

Watch Rock vs HHH instead for 60minute matches from 2000
