I remember being excited for Jarrett/Orange Cassidy but I don’t remember the match.
I’ve been screaming how great the JaretT/Lethal v. Acclaimed tags were all year though. Maybe I’ll have to rewatch that one.

I still have Dragon vs MJF at the top of the list.
I also still think Zayn/KO vs Ussos from Mania is criminally under-appreciated. It is a close second for me, followed by Dragon vs Starks (which I still need to rewatch).

I just don’t get the praise for the Mania tag match.
I get the praise for the triple threat ic title match, I just think it’s a bit much.
There’s just been a lot of great wrestling this year. Even if most of those great things feel a little disappointing

I don't have anything to say about it that I haven't said already, it feels like an elite version of WWE melodrama and I almost always love elite version of any style. The Ussos' monologues accomplished what they think Roman's do (and maybe what they did the first time). They felt like the final boss team and I love the story of Zayn and KO (one of my favorite teams and career long rivals/friends) coming back together to conquer them. Just everything fit right and it became great than the sum of its parts.

One of those matches where I love the story, the moment etc. but as far as a match I’d ever want to watch again. I doubt I’ll revisit.

I'll probably watch it near the end of the year when I do my final MOTY write-up. We will see if I still feel the same way about it. Things can always change with distance. I did rewatch it shortly after and still loved it.

Yeah MJF/Bryan still sits comfortably at my #1 this year, but there's been so much more competition for the silver medal than I expected.

Usos vs. Zayn/Owens remains my MOTY. It's a near-perfect distillation of what I look for in a tag match: great offense from the heel team, great selling from the FIP, plenty of 2-on-1 and 2-on-2 action, and no simultaneous tags. Okada vs. Kiyomiya is #2 and Samoa Joe vs. Mark Briscoe is #3.
