Two best friends beat the hell out of each other.
Incredibly violent but not gratuitous. Urgent , Engaging, epic but not indulgent. Avoids so many tropes that hyped modern matches fall into. Sick headbutts & punches.
Joseph dropped a big 5 on this and I was skeptical. But it’s cool as hell. Not sure how I’ll feel by the time voting comes around. But initial reaction is that it rules.

Second.
I was also skeptical going in because I'm not necessarily the biggest fans of Abe or Nomura but this exceeded expectations for me.
Great match.

This was fucking fantastic and something that puts a lot of modern great matches from more popular promotions to shame. There's no excuses for most of wrestling not looking like this in 2023.

Holy shit, I can’t remember the last time a match elicited such a visceral reaction of hatred in me. Basically a cringey caricature of shoot-style/Battlarts except this thing is somehow main event of a revival show. No strategy or technical artistry, just your-turn-my-turn exchanges mixed with funny faces like it’s an Ishii match. Also way too much lame comedy.
