In terms of quality, this, I feel, is the same as these two's 2020 AEW Dynamite main event singles encounter. This encounter, however, has a flaw, which is, at just past the 11 minute mark, a V-trigger doesn't connect. However, it's a minor gripe,as this is still a gem.
Highlights of this match include Penta with a running senton over the ropes; Kenny's head getting supremely stomped into oblivion in the corner; and 3 beautiful package piledrivers. And, that arm crank move by Penta looks very painful indeed.

I remember watching it live and being so disappointed. Felt more like an exhibition with trading their greatest hits on each other. May've also been the first match I saw where Penta's armbreaker didn't lead to him winning. 2018 me genuinely couldn't fathom breaking a man's arm and still losing. Now, 2024 me has seen that happen in Okada/Danielson, but the difference there is it was a freak accident, as opposed to a planned spot in the match that leads to a slew of big moves from Omega to win.

Yeah this match sucked and I've never wanted to watch it again. It's some of my least favourite wrestling: narcisist fake epic with silly facial expressions.

As a fan of both guys, I wouldn’t recommend this match. It’s trying too hard to do something they can do naturally. This sort of thing serves a purpose in 2018 but the match has zero substance that makes it something to revisit nowadays.
