I wanted to throw this one out there. While it doesn't have the praise behind it that many other Casas matches have, I always present this as perhaps the most accessible lucha match of all time. It represents a high point in the lucha style, but also incorporates many universal wrestling tropes that help to ease a puro or US viewer in. I would recommend watching it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qxi_o-hTWU

2nd. Pretty sure this is the best Lucha match of 93. As violent and badass as the best Stan Hansen matches. Full review from WKO:
I think this has to be among the most violent lucha matches ever. It wouldn't have looked out of place in WAR or AJPW at all. Even the most basic spots, such as kicking a downed opponent, biting, a shove, a corner dropkick or STF attempt where executed in the most violent way possible. So, there was a number of amazing moments. Watching Fiera making his pissed off comeback after Casas had ambushed him and assaulted his face was something else. He would recklessly hurl the smaller Casas into the unforgiving chair rows and then proceed to find different ways to kick him in the face. Fiera came across as a super dangerous wrecking machine ala Hansen or Dynamite Kansai. And really, watching Fiera repeatedly kicking a bloody Casas in the face here is as good as pro wrestling gets. Casas struck a nice balance between showman and being in a grueling battle. The 3rd fall was simple and effective and had some big bumps to cap off the street fighting in the first two.

Third.
Truly excellent match. The stiffness on the strikes is out of this world. Casas during this time period looks like one of the greatest athletes in wrestling history but he brings the hate to this as well. Excellent match with tons of hate, emotion, insane bumps. Yeah, this rules.

Definite contender for the lower half of my 100. Negro Casas looked phenomenal and Fiera was a great stoic wall for him.

I voted this #88.
Structurally I guess this is simple but the execution is killer. From the off - Casas cheap shot-ing La Fiera during the announcements and dumping him into the ringside seats - Casas establishes a level of violence and distain which you know sooner or later is going to backfire on him. And sure enough, he'll be paid back in full, largely via precise kicks to the face.
Both men look amazing on offense - from the many hard strikes, to little moments of opportunistic violence such as La Fiera slamming Casas's head off of the ring apron, or Casas fish-hooking Fiera's mouth during an stf. Just all-round good wrestling.
