Another match that I thought would already be nominated. If I missed it please just combine threads. A great emotional finish. Probably the high point of the uncooperative lucha brawl, or at least the last truly great example of it.

Very dramatic match. Filled with really great moments, both of the illegal mask removals, Villano getting bloodied up after that dive, Panther repeatedly diving on Villano over and over in the third fall until it backfires. And im always a fan of an Apeustas post match. seconded

Watched this for the first time in many years a few months back and was blown away by it all over again. It's not the sort of thing that's overladen with spots but what's there actually matters. One of the most dramatic and weighty matches of the millennium so far and it holds up after a decade unlike some other recent favorites I don't think I'll be looking back on fondly. Easy lock for my list.

YES. This is probably going to be on my list. The dramatic moments, the blood, the nearfalls, and the surprise finish are really what make this for me.

This match was a great blend of violence drama and bullshit, which is basically the father son and Holy Ghost of what I want in wrestling. I’ve really gotten into Lucha (and most other styles really) during this project, but I felt like if this was taking place during a time/place I was watching regularly I would be able to appreciate it more. Learning the context helped me appreciate this match more and made me think it should be beloved in a way like, I don’t know, Austin/Foley in over the edge? Or maybe it is and I am not aware?
Anyway, curious if people have thoughts on this one, if you are thinking of including it, why it clicks or doesn’t click, etc.

I love this match but it isn't quite making my list. I felt like a lot of the action early on didn't really blow me away, but the atmosphere and energy of the last several minutes is out of this world. Arena Mexico adding barricades has been an incalculable tragedy for lucha libre and the human race. The rows of fans being right there was everything for the atmosphere of this match.

Rewatched last night for the first time in a few years. Love it more than I thought I did. V5's accidental blood and the last few minutes of the third fall were awesome. Panther going hell for leather in the third fall only to get caught still took me by surprise. Post match is still emotional. May well sneak onto my list.
