Awesome angle at the end to send JYD out of Mid South for a while and establish the rat pack as a great heel faction at the time. Borne and DiBiase are awesome slimy heels in this. Borne looks state of the art and has such a sleazy charisma. The crowd loves JYD and it's a great atmosphere, great angle, great payoff. One of my personal favorite tag matches. And it's a breezy watch.

One thing I love about Mid South is that the angles and characters take the action to the next level, and this match is a perfect example. It's a fast paced tag match with Borne, the hired gun, bringing some high impact offense and JYD and Olympia just itching to get their hands on Dibiase. The intrigue was also really well played as Dibiase really had nothing to lose as long as he didn't take the fall, but then everyone got swerved by the gorilla, and this is a case where commentary really helped sell the whole angle and. Arch.

It’s Loser Leaves Town so whoever loses has to abandon the territory for 90 days, during most of the match Mr Olimpia is manhandled by the heel team until he tagged Junkyard Dog and the babyfaces comeback began, it looked like the face team was going to win when a giant gorilla entered in the ring that turned out to be ‘‘Hackshaw’’ Jim Duggan, so because of the help from the gorilla Matt Borne and Ted Dibiase won.
If you like Mid-South you have to watch this match, the crowd made the contest better reacting to every move like it was the last.

I never really saw this as more than a good match. It's certainly that - a good match. But I dunno if it's in my top 3,000 and that doesn't feel like an exaggeration. How many 3 1/2 star matches has there been? Like a million?

This was okay but not much more than that, I thought. Enjoyed watching JYD and DiBiase mix it up. Wasn't crazy about the Duggan interference. Not a whole lot more to it. Of the 172 nominated matches I've watched so far, I've currently got it down at 171.
