Which style of wrestling do you think is the best, and why? How will this be reflected on your list?

So where this will be reflected on my list is I think it will hurt British wrestling and lucha. I like both of those styles and watch a lot of both but I don't necessarily have a good feel for them and what makes something great vs. American style or puro. Or at least I feel that way. Considering I've been watching lucha since 1998 you would think I would have a better comfort level with it.

My favourite style is Lucha...however, this does not necessarily mean that my list is going to be Lucha heavy. I find Lucha very easy to watch - in almost any match I can find something which entertains me....but it doesnt always result in what I would consider 'great' matches, just really entertaining ones.

I tend to lean towards puro when it comes to my favorite matches and the ones that I consider to be the best. That being said, I'm a sucker for a good brawl.

Gritty, stiff, preferably bloody brawls (or maybe "fights" since brawls is sort of a genre) will almost always win out for me. That can apply to a lot of different more conventional genres, but it means I tend to really value lucha brawls, 80s US territory brawls, some modern indie things that sporadically hit the button.
I would guess when my list is finished lucha brawls will all bubble up a bit for me.

King's Road Style... but I,feel like Imwant to make a concious effort to make the most diverse list I can. I could seriously understand someone submitting a list of AJPW matches from, say, 1988 through 1998 but the person who does that won't be me.
Also, though King's Road is my favourite, I have a lot of appreciation for other styles.

It's the obvious answer, but 90's AJPW and I have a hard time seeing how I could ever prefer anything else. It's pretty much the perfect storm of performers who were incredibly talented at the base aspects of working, some of the smartest and most ambitious match layouts ever conceived, and patient no-bullshit booking.
