This was the finals of the 2016 Scenic City Invitational, and I'm not sure how many others would consider it, but it would for sure end up somewhere on my top 100 if I did a ballot. It's a better match if you watch the 2015 and 2016 shows in full, but as a stand alone it's still pretty great. They payoff a one year build involving Rave and Gunner, there is history with Anthony Henry too that is relevant and adds to the drama, and Hero was in the middle of being the best wrestler on Earth. It's elimination rules and all of the eliminations are really well done, well timed, and build the tension very well. Unlike most four ways I feel the moments when the match "breaks down" felt organic and actually added to the match instead of detracting from it. It was an incredible Hero performance, and kind of a coming out party for Anthony Henry who put himself on the map with the weekend he had. A great, logical, well constructed, long indie match in an era where so much of what we see in the indies is poorly put together excess disguised as "epic."

For me the thing is that I had this as the fourth-best match of the year when it happened. There's certainly merit in the idea of the fourth-best match of 1993 or 1989 or whatever being considered an all-timer but I'm not so sure it applies to the year that was 2016. However, I think this match at least belongs in the discussion. I can't think of many multi-mans I'd have higher than this and any that do have a much stronger selection of all time great wrestlers. It's still sort of shocking to me not only how this match manages to be so layered while remaining free-flowing and natural but also how long it keeps that up. What's more, it's a match that feels bigger than its humble setting would suggest at first glance, doing well to establish Miller as this world beater local hero who I'd never heard of leading into this tournament. Definitely worth a watch for anyone curious about it.

3rd I liked how they built up from the tournament itself and the previous years Jimmy Rave vs. Anthony Henry match. This eliminations were great. It probably won't make my list, but this match is great and I highly recommend it.
