One of the top joshi matches of the 2000s. The vet Hokuto trying to put the new star in her place. Hard-hitting, intense, great character work and action. Highly dramatic finish thanks to the usual Hokuto brilliance.

I'll second this. Total bomb fest with both women just crushing each other with nasty bombs, suplexes, kicks and some of the stiffest slaps you'll ever see. This got some MOTY hype back in 2001 and holds up really well. Obviously this isn't in the top tier of Hokuto matches, but this has always been my favorite Satomura match. Great match.

This has everything I want in a match. Outstanding dynamic between the two wrestlers that you can sense right away. Powerful offense with selling that gets it across. A real sense that both wrestlers want to win badly. Memorable spots. And this is a case where the ringside seconds and crowd heat add to the match. Just super.

The selling here is second to none. No one sells pain like Akira Hokuto, Satomura was great also. It's the is the best non-Kandori match I've seen from Hokuto.
